Congratulations to Brazoswood High School swimmers and divers for qualifying for ten events at the upcoming 6A Regional competition. The team finished fourth in the District 24-6A meet held on January 29 in Texas City. The top 4 swimmers in each event advanced.
Boy Swimming/Diving Results:
- The 200 medley relay team of Ben Latta, Anthony Sury, Matthew Traynor and Miles de Valcourt placed 2nd.
- Myles de Valcourt moved on in the 200 IM and in the 100 freestyle races.
- The 400 free relay with Matthew Traynor, Mason Kesler, Ben Latta and Myles de Valcourt placed 3rd.
- Diver Josh Robison will advance to regionals with a 3rd place district finish.
Girl Swimming/Diving Results:
- The 400 free relay team of Summer Sanders, Sarah Gambrel, Emily Agan and Kathryn Gambrel placed 2nd.
- The 200 free relay team of Sarah Gambrel, Kathryn Gambrel, Summer Sanders and Minnie Tran finished 2nd.
- Minnie Tran finished 2nd in the 100 butterfly and 3rd in the 50 freestyle event.
- Sarah Gambrel placed 3rd in the 200 freestyle event.
