October Highlights:
CIS has created a school supply closet for students that attend Brazoswood.
CIS planned delivery for Teachers Aid in November. Brazoswood Teachers will receive their first box soon.
CIS made 15 phone calls to parents to let them know about Communities In Schools and services that can be provided.
CIS collaborated with Mrs. Jess to start distributing Backpack Buddy for students on Main Campus.
CIS was able to create a clothing closet with the help of Mrs.Jess. Brazoswood students will now have two locations to pick up clothing at.
CIS distributed school supplies to five students, hygiene products to two students and snacks for 17 students.
CIS created google classroom to stay in touch with students and share important information.
CIS will also be using remind to communicate with parents.
November Planned Activities:
CIS lunch groups will start the month of November in the library.
CIS has collaborated with Templo La Hermosa for Thanksgiving Dinners for families in need.
CIS is in the planning to collaborate with Toys for Tots for Christmas Help.
CIS is planning to get hoodies for students that are in need.
CIS will continue to do individual check ins with students to talk about their grades and how to improve them.
Volunteers/Collaborations:
CIS helped at the Brazoswood Fafsa Night on Wednesday October 27th to help with translation services.
CIS volunteered at the Harvest Festival at the Clute Park on Thursday October 28th
