Brazoswood Students Present Model Rocket to NASA Engineers
Darlene Basurto, Roger Haro and Keaton Crumrine, members of the Brazoswood High School Transonic Rocket team, presented their mathematical model of a rocket capable of transonic flight to NASA engineers at Johnson Space Center yesterday. A total of 18 schools were represented at the event. The class gained clearance to build and fly their transonic rocket in May 2017.
These students are in the second year, or Oberth level, of the SystemsGo Aeroscience program. Last year they had to design, build and fly a rocket to take a 1-pound payload to an altitude of 1-mile.
We look forward to hearing about the great success of these students’ project.
