Brazoswood Band Members Earn Region Honors
Students from the Buc Band traveled to Alvin, in December, to compete at the TMEA Region XVII Band auditions.
Students earning a spot in the All-District Band were: Katy Ashby, flute; David Fey, clarinet; Joshua Gillis, bari sax; Evelyn Gomez, clarinet; Jeremiah Johnson, trombone; Gabe Martinez, tuba; Kristen McKenney, tenor sax; Austin Morrow, alto sax; Lessiam Ramos-Rodriguez, clarinet; and Graysen Winters, trumpet.
In addition to receiving District honors, these students were named to the AllRegion Band and participated in a clinic and concert at Clear Lake High School, on December 14, 2019. Hans Aggarwal, percussion; Bo Bartos, horn; Wyatt Barrier, bass trombone; Crystal Beal, bass clarinet; Hunter Brooks, trombone; Thomas Gagnon, tenor sax; Madison Habeck, trumpet; Jasmine Hernandez, clarinet; Shawn MacGregor, clarinet; Simone Marshall, flute; Dominik Mayo, trumpet; Matthew Pulido, trumpet; Bryton Sanabria, trombone; Shannon Smith, bass clarinet; Sam Soria, tuba.
Of these students, Hans Aggarwal, Thomas Gagnon, Shawn MacGregor, Simone Marshall, Shannon Smith, and Sam Soria qualified for Area, and will compete in January for a spot in the Texas All-State Band. Congratulations to all of these amazing musicians!
