Brazoswood Band Members Earn Region Honors

Students from the Buc Band traveled to Alvin, in December, to compete at the TMEA Region XVII Band auditions. These students earned a spot in the All-District Band were: Austin Alexander, French horn, Keaton Dingee, bari sax; Zachary Evans, French horn; Jasmine Hernandez, clarinet; Jack Lander, French horn; Braeden Luera, trombone; Cyruss Mata, euphonium, and Kristen McKenney, tenor sax.

Those students who earned a spot in the All-District Band and were also named to the All-Region Band were: Brett Bailes, tuba; Wyatt Barrier, trombone; Bo Bartos, French horn; Hunter Brooks, trombone; Isaac Deavenport, percussion; Caitin Dobert, contra-bass clarinet; David Fey, clarinet; Madison Habeck, trumpet; Daniel Loeza, euphonium; Isaiah Lusko, trombone; Shawn MacGregor, clarinet; Justis Massie, bass clarinet; Avery Mathews, clarinet; Garrett Nicholas, trumpet; James Parsons, bass trombone; Alyssa Poe, oboe; Matthew Pulido, trumpet; Rebekah Rumsey, clarinet; Bryton Sanabria, trombone; Shannon Smith, bass clarinet; and Isaac Tepperman, French horn. These students will perform with the All-Region Band on Saturday, January 26 at La Marque High School.

In addition to receiving District and Region honors, these students qualified to compete in Area competition: Hans Aggarwal, percussion; Nathan Cloeter, French horn; Thomas Gagnon, tenor sax; Dominik Mayo, trumpet; Simone Marshall, flute; Reona Nagata, percussion; Kamryn Scott, clarinet; and Sam Soria, tuba. They will also perform with the Area Wind Ensemble on Saturday, January 26 at La Marque High School.
