Spring Semester Exam Info

High School Final exams are quickly approaching. Please review the information below, as it includes important details about exemptions and exam procedures.

Exemption Forms

Exemption forms are being distributed to students during lunch this week.
If your student misses distribution, they may pick up a form from their grade-level AP office.
Completed forms are due to the AP office by May 15 at 3:15 PM.

Exemption Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for an exam exemption, students must meet all of the following:

Attendance: No more than 4 absences in class, for which they are trying to be exempted
Grades: A 90 or higher semester average, based on the 3rd nine weeks and 4B progress report. Grades cannot be raised later to qualify.
Discipline: No OSS or DAEP placements this semester and fewer than 3 ISS days.

Attendance for Exempt Students
Even if exempt, students are still required to attend class during exam periods, remain in class the full time, and work quietly.

Pre-Approved Absences for Exams

If your student cannot attend an exam, they must complete a pre-approved absence form by May 11 and email jenny.morgan@brazosportisd.net to schedule a make-up opportunity for May 26 or May 27.
You can pick up a pre-approved absence form from any grade level office.

National Honor Society

Candidate applications are due on or before Friday, April 17th, 2026 @11:59pm. Late applications WILL NOT be accepted.

STUDENTS MUST BE A CURRENT SOPHOMORE OR JUNIOR!

NHS applications have been posted in the 10th and 11th grade Google Class pages. Students can search (ctl+f) for NHS to find the application.

NHS is an organization dedicated to Scholarship, Service, Leadership, and Character.

If you are selected, you will be expected to participate fully in NHS activities and service opportunities. Before being inducted, candidates must be aware of the requirements of NHS. Failure to uphold these requirements may result in probation or dismissal from the chapter.
