Congratulations to the Brazoswood Choir members who have been selected to advance to the final round of auditions for the Texas All-State Choir. This annual competition is held across the state to select the very best high school musicians. Through multiple rounds of elimination, each student is required to present music in multiple languages and read music at first sight for panels of professional judges who rank their performance against all other singers in this region of Texas.

These ladies placed in the top five chairs of nearly 1,000 student who began the process in our region. They will now audition on January 7th at Ridge Point High School (Fort Bend ISD) for membership in the Texas All-State choir which has been described as containing the best 300 high school musicians in the state.

If selected, they will travel to San Antonio in February, for a week of intensive rehearsals culminating in a concert with both professional musicians and high school members from across Texas.

It has been said that the odds of making the Texas All-State choir are approximately 1 in 20,000 students. Brazoswood High School choir now has three outstanding students who are well on their way to accomplishing that goal.
