SAT at Brazoswood

The District is covering the cost for any JUNIOR student to take the SAT at Brazoswood on Wednesday, March 25th.

Test Day:      Wednesday, March 25th.

Students are still able to sign up in the main campus counselor’s office or in room 9211.

*The SAT is a college entrance exam that most students will take to gain acceptance into a four-year college or university. For more information and study materials, please visit www.collegeboard.org/sat or www.khanacademy.org/sat

Accommodations for testing

Does your child need accommodations on the SAT?

Some students with documented disabilities are eligible for accommodations on College Board exams.

Students cannot take the SAT, SAT Subject Tests, PSAT/NMSQT, PSAT 10, or AP Exams with accommodations unless their request for accommodations has been approved by Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD).

Please note that accommodations for these types of exams are different than accommodations received on district and state testing.

Students who will need accommodations for the SAT will need to contact Mrs. Perry for information on submitting a request.

Students that DO NOT have accommodations approved with the College Board SSD program will not be able to have access to accommodations normally received on the campus level.

Advanced Placement (AP Testing)

Students will be receiving a copy of the 2019-2020 Bulletin for AP Students and Parents to take home when we return in January. I have included the electronic copy for you to review. Each AP student and parent needs to review this bulletin for information regarding the 2019-2020 AP testing information. Please click below to open the bulletin.

Accommodations Information for AP Exams:

Students who need accommodations for AP testing must be approved by College Board. Once a student is approved for accommodations, they will be able to use them from year to year.    ***Please note: Students who currently receive accommodations through other programs at school will NOT automatically receive those on AP tests unless approved by College Board. School based accommodations for testing differ from College Board testing accommodations.

All accommodation requests must be submitted by Friday, January 17th, 2020.  Please contact Amy Perry at (979-730-7320 ext 11710 or [email protected]) if your child will need to apply for College Board accommodations.

Assistive technology–compatible (ATC) format exams

Large-block answer sheets

Permission to use a braille device, computer, or magnifying device
