Advanced Courses

AP & Pre-AP Courses
Brazosport ISD offers of three dozen AP and Pre-AP courses to our students. Advanced Placement (AP) and Pre-Advanced Placement (Pre-AP) classes offer college and work preparation for students while they are still in high school. Students are encouraged to take AP classes and exams in order to prepare for college and for possible college credit. Receiving  college credit while still in high school can save thousands of dollars on college tuition and also enhance the likelihood of college success.

Brazosport ISD’s goal is for students to be successful at the highest possible level. Pre-AP/AP classes in BISD stimulate and challenge motivated students to perform at an advanced academic level and are more rigorous and in-depth than regular classes. These classes are more rigorous, include different types of assignments and require additional outside reading. Resourceful, dedicated and trained Pre-AP/AP teachers work with their students to develop and apply the skills, abilities and content knowledge that will be necessary for college.
