Brazoswood Band Members Earn Region Honors
Students from the Brazoswood Band traveled to Clear Creek High School, in December, to compete at the TMEA Region 17 Band auditions. Over a 3-day audition weekend, these students came away earning District and Region level recognition:
Students earning a spot in the All-District Band were:
Layla Blocker - Piccolo
Dora Gutierrez - Flute
Tinley Hoskins - Clarinet
Trevor Kuhlman - Alto Saxophone
Maya Warren - Baritone Saxophone
Adalyn Thomas - Trumpet
Emmie Dodson - Bass Trombone
Eduardo Vargas - Tuba
Lisa Nagata - Percussion
Freshman Students that earned a Spot in the Freshman Band were;
Ruby Huynh - Clarinet
Rajeh Elyoussef - Trumpet
Eliot Spencer - Trumpet
Jackson Connell - Percussion
In addition to receiving District honors, these students were named to the All-Region Band and will participate in a clinic and concert at Clear Springs High School, on December 16th.

Tysen Cavaness - Trumpet
Nicholas Harrold - F Horn
Wade King - Bass Trombone
Roberto Gonzalez - Euphonium
Ethan Lackey - Tuba
Jackson Connell - Percussion
Of these students two will go on to the Area level, and will audition, in January, for a spot in the All-State Band.
